In my 20 years of experience as a student, what I’ve come to understand is that, there’s a clear distinction between friendships formed within the classroom and those outside of it. Inside, it’s all about the basics – exchanging hellos, sharing notes, and maybe a few laughs. But it’s outside, in the real world, where those friendships truly solidify.
Take, for instance, my experience after spending over a year with a group of classmates. Our interactions were limited to the classroom – just casual nods and small talk. But everything changed when we took a trip to Pokhara.
During that trip, away from the confines of lectures and textbooks, we had the chance to really get to know each other. Away from the pressures of exams and assignments, we laughed, shared stories, and built memories that brought us closer together. It was then that I realized the true value of friendship lies not in the classroom, but in the shared experiences we create outside of it.
