Yogesh Satyal

Yogesh Satyal is a management educator and seasoned talent development professional. He is a visiting faculty at some of the leading business schools in the country where he teaches courses in management and communication. He is a certified NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Coach Practitioner and has been an international professional member of ATD (formerly American Society for Training and Development.) He has also completed Coaching Certificate of ATD in the USA. His teaching and training are underpinned on the andragogical principles of Adult Learning. He chairs the board of a trauma informed non-­profit that mainly works toward redressing the educational inequality as well as addressing undernutrition and health issues among severely underprivileged children. He served as Vice President for more than six years at an off-­shore outsourcing based software development and consulting company in Kathmandu having its onshore offices in the US and the UK, and representations in Denmark and Japan. Prior to that he spent nearly 5 years in the brand and key accounts management teams at Bottlers Nepal Limited. He started his career as Reservations Assistant at Hotel Shangri-­La and also stinted at ORG-­ MARG Nepal (now Nielson Nepal) as a Research Associate. He is the founding general secretary of Global Compact Nepal which is dedicated to promoting corporate sustainability (even more so the SDGs currently) in Nepal along the lines of the United Nations’ universal values on sustainability and responsible business practices. He has done his Executive MBA from Ace Institute of Management, Pokhara University and B.Com (Honors) from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi. He is a past president of Everest Toastmasters Club and has ACS (Advanced Communicator Silver), and ALB (Advanced Leader Bronze) recognitions to his credit. He loves spending his free time trekking in the mountains and running on trails. He has also climbed Mt. Rainier of the North Cascades in the Pacific Northwest, USA.
