Yagyaman Shakya is a law graduate of Delhi University and has received Master’s degree in Commercial Law from Faculty of Law, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu. He has specialization in labour law and has worked extensively in the area while working for the Employers’ Council, a permanent body of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, (FNCCI), apex private sector organization of Nepal. He was a member of Labour Law drafting committee formed by the Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLTM) which finalized the Draft Labour Act 2072. Currently, he is engaged in teaching and providing legal consultancy service to private clients.He has also long experience in teaching Business Law, Industrial Relations and Labour Law to the undergraduate and graduate level management students of LACM, Ace Institute of Management, KUSOM and Kathmandu School of Law. Mr. Shakya is a writer of a number of articles and has attended several national and international training programs. He has also visited Italy, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Vietnam, France and USA.
